Oakland, CA – Oakland Police Chief Anne E. Kirkpatrick announced her new command staff that will assist her in leading the department.
Chief Kirkpatrick’s new promotions join the veteran ranks of command. Chief Kirkpatrick said, “I have now solidified my command structure, given clear direction to move the department forward in order to meet our goals and expectations of the community we serve. We will work together to make this city safer.”
The promotions are as follows; effective on or before July 1, 2017:
Assistant Chief of Police:
Deputy Chief John Lois will assume as the Assistant Chief of Police following the July retirement of our current Assistant Chief of Police David Downing.
Deputy Chiefs:
Darren Allison
Leronne Armstrong (Effective in July)
Captains:
James J. Bassett
Roland Holmgren
Nishant Joshi
Sekou Millington
